Susan Sprague Lee, LCSW

Susan Sprague Lee is the founder and principal owner of Empowering Minds Counseling Cetner, which she established in 2008.  As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience, Susan has worked with diverse populations across a wide range of clinical settings, including children, adolescents, adults and families.

Susan specializes in women's mental health, with particular expertise in supporting expectant and postpartum mothers, as well as women navigating perimenopause and menopause.  She is also passionate about helping women navigate significant life transitions, including marriage, divorce, career changes and other major personal challenges.  Utilizing evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Susan empowers women to develop effective coping skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, reduce emotional distress, and build greater resilience and overall well-being.

In addition, Susan has a strong interest in working with families experiencing conflict, helping them strengthen communication, improve relational dynamics, and build healthier, more supportive relationships.

Andrew J. Lee, Psy.D.

Dr. Andrew J. Lee is a Licensed Psychologist with Empowering Minds Counseling Center, who has 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. 

One of his specialty clinical areas is working with multicultural adolescents and young adults who are struggling with integrating distinct worlds and multiple voices into a cohesive and satisfying personal experience as they develop into their adult selves. He also enjoys working with couples and families to create healthy and restorative connections.    

Beth Frenkel, Ph.D.

Dr. Beth Frenkel is a Licensed Psychologist with Empowering Minds Counseling Center. 

She is a nationally-recognized expert in the treatment of eating disorders and served as the Supervising Psychologist at a prominent inpatient and partial hospitalization eating disorders treatment program for over a decade. 

Dr. Frenkel’s fields of expertise also include treatment of trauma, depression, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety, grief and loss, identity issues, relationship issues, family dynamics, and parenting issues. Her primary orientation is interpersonal, with strong influences from family systems theory, relational theory and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Frenkel works with children, adolescents, adults and families. 

She is LGBTQ friendly and has also worked extensively with the Observant Jewish community.

Lindsay Harold, Psy.D.

Dr. Lindsay Harold is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist with Empowering Minds Counseling Center. 

She has worked in varied systems of care, serving individuals across the lifespan. 

One focus in her clinical work is collaborating with clients to view difficulties through a lens of psychological flexibility and compassion. Some experiences may feel more central or enduring, such as trauma or grief. Through acceptance and in taking a step back, there are renewed chances to see value, vitality and meaning.

Jennifer Marcella, LCSW

Jennifer Marcella is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Empowering Minds Counseling Center. She has nearly 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in multiple clinical settings.
Jen uses an eclectic approach to help clients to identify their problems and explore solutions. Her goal is to empower her clients through education and skills training to implement change. She uses a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness and creative approaches that are solution focused. She values an open and honest rapport in a trusting environment and believes that this is essential for growth.
Some of her clinical specialties include coping with loss and change, stress management, women’s issues/postpartum issues and psychiatric illness. She also enjoys working with families to improve communication, heal past traumas, and change negative intergenerational patterns.
