The decision to enter therapy is often filled with many mixed feelings. At EMCC it is our goal to make this experience as easy as possible. Once you contact our office via the contact information link on this page or by phone at 848-236-7344, you will receive a call from our scheduling coordinator. We will ask you a number of questions about what is bringing you into treatment. We will answer any questions you may have and provide you with information about our practice. Based on the information provided, we will connect you with one of our treatment providers.
Once you complete the initial phone call and we determine that you could benefit from our services, you will be emailed a link to our client portal. There you will complete our initial client paperwork including demographic information, privacy policy information, consents to treatment and more. While you are completing this paperwork, we will be working behind the scenes to verify your insurance benefits. Once we receive your completed information and your benefits are verified, we will connect you to one of our treatment providers. We aim to make this connection within 24-48 hours after you complete the requested information.
The majority of our treatment providers hold their appointments via telehealth. The therapist will reach out to you to set up your initial appointment. Once it is scheduled, you will get an email with a link to the telehealth portal. This portal is HIPPA compliant and secure. You will click on the link to access your session at your scheduled time. Be sure to find a private place to talk where you are comfortable.
At this time, EMCC is an out-of-network treatment provider with commercial insurance companies. Within the next 3-6 months, we will be an in-network provider with Medicare, BCBS, Aetna, and United Healthcare insurance companies. While in this transition process, payment will be expected at the time services are rendered. You can pay online on the portal using a credit card. You will receive an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network mental health coverage. Sound confusing? We can explain the process and answer any questions you may have during the initial phone call. We will work together to make sure you receive the maximum amount of reimbursement from your company.
If you are covered by one of the companies listed above when we become an in-network provider in the future, you will be contacted by our office when the change in coverage becomes active. At that time, we will bill your insurance company directly and you will only be responsible for any co-pays/co-insurance, and/or deductibles as part of your plan.
Your therapist will be your primary contact throughout your treatment journey with EMCC. If at any point in time you have questions related to the practice, billing, insurance or policies, please contact the EMCC office at 848-236-7344.
